About The Poem

Sir Walter Raleigh was a famous explorer of the Americas and a great favourite of the queen. Raleigh discovered everything that ends with the letter 'o' - the potato, tobacco, Tokyo, Plato and the portaloo - although some doubt his claims to the didgeridoo.
